เมื่อเร็วๆนี้ได้มีการโจมตีแบบ Distributed Denial of Service Attack (DDoS) เกิดขึ้นครับ ซึ่งจะขอ quote มาให้อ่านกันเลยนะครับ ” ข่าว Hot ประจำค่ำคืนนี้ วันนี้ 6 สิงหาคม 2552 นี้พบว่าทั้ง Twitter , Facebook และ LiveJournal ล่มพร้อมกันโดยมิได้นัดหมาย แต่ ตอนนี้ที่ผมเขียน blog นี้เวลา 0.44 am ของวันที่ 7 สิงหาคม 2552 พบว่าทั้ง facebook และ LiveJournal ต่างสามารถทำงานได้แล้ว แต่จะช้าบ้างในบางส่วน เช่น facebook ยังเกิด error เกี่ยวกับ Network Error ในการ post message บน wall เป็นต้น ส่วน twitter นั้นยังคงใช้ไม่ได้ โดยทางทีมงานของ twitter กล่าวว่าโดนโจมตี Distributed Denial of Service Attack (DDoS) จากหลายหลายประเทศพร้อมๆ กัน แต่ ทาง twitter ได้ทำการ backup ระบบไว้เรียบร้อยแล้ว และกำลังต่อสู้กับการโจมตีอยู่ พร้อมกับจะ recovery ระบบให้กลับมาใช้งานได้รวดเร็วที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้ ” จาก http://www.narisa.com/blog/up1/index.php?s=08b1e09f250a59b58945b00e29ecae3d& จะเห็นว่า ขนาด twitter ซึ่งเป็น webservice ขนาดใหญ่ รองรับการใช้งานจากผู้คนได้จำนวนมาก ยังล่มเลย … บันทึก http://status.twitter.com/post/157191978/ongoing-denial-of-service-attack

สำหรับคนที่ใช้ Ubuntu อยู่ อาจประสบปัญหาไม่สามารถดู manual ใน section อื่นนอกเหนือจาก manual ของโปรแกรมต่างๆ เช่น section 2 ที่เป็น manual ของ system call ทั้งนี้เนื่องจาก manual ใน section ดังกล่าวนั้นไม่ได้ถูกติดตั้งมาพร้อมกับระบบปฏิบัติการ แต่สามารถติดตั้งเพิ่มเติมได้ดังนี้ $ sudo apt-get install manpages-dev เพียงเท่านี้เราก็สามารถดู manual ได้ครบทุก section แล้วครับ
